The Concept Works Purchases Lineville Building

September 30, 2006

The Concept Works signed an agreement today to purchase a 104-year-old bank building in Lineville, Iowa that will provide office space and production facilities for one of the firm’s subsidiaries, Lucky Badger Farms catnip.

“My commitment has always been to build enduring brand names for our clients and our own ventures.  That’s how businesses grow and prosper,” president/CEO Eric Woolson said.  “The Concept Works is quickly earning a reputation as a regionally known and respected public relations, government relations and marketing firm.  As we grow, a number of subsidiaries will come into their own to reflect a variety of interests and disciplines but a singular commitment to quality.

The purchase of the Lineville building and its upcoming renovation reflect a strategy of real estate acquisition, improvement and holdings as well as preparations for the 2009 launch of the first Lucky Badger Farms product.

“There’s been a lot of talk in Iowa over the years about the need for rural revitalization, innovation and alternative crops production.  We’re willing to put our money where our mouths are in terms of rural revitalization and alternative crops in an area of our state that has suffered significant losses of population and opportunities,” Woolson said.  “We’ll be making a long-term investment in the community and the Lucky Badger Farms brand in terms of capital assets and marketing support for The Concept Works team.”

Lucky Badger Farms catnip will be grown on a 27-acre agricultural plot owned by Woolson and managed with his son, Brooks.
